My students have been impacted from the pandemic and are slowly trying to get caught up with their learning. The use of maps is almost a daily activity in my classroom, however our maps are out of date. This makes learning the material extra hard as they are trying to catch up from missed school due to the pandemic and now have to add edits to their out dated material. Having updated material will help our students learn easier and quicker, which will help them catch up on their missed time from school closures and become more aware of the world. The best way to increase their understanding of the world and their map skills is to study more maps and resources an atlas has, and these books will continue to help my students and the other geography students at our school grow stronger in geography and reading skills. Having two class sets of atlases will make it easier on all our geography students at our school.
