Since we are soon entering our 3rd year of COVID, we have to continue modifying preschool student learning to maximize social distancing and do more outdoor activities. If our students are given more access to manipulatives they can use outdoors, they are able to continue explorations and learning during these unprecedented times since they are too young for vaccinations. Our youngest learners can't remember a time when they came to school without masks. Our time spent outside learning is invaluable because we can have a mask break and see students' faces and reactions to learning. Besides our regular curriculum, we are having our preschool students engage in "Project-Based Learning" where they are able to explore subjects they are interested in learning about.
