Maximizing student engagement is a never-ending quest. But research suggests one answer is literally written on the walls: traditional personal whiteboards. We use them almost daily in the classroom to practice phonics, fine motor movement, proper letter writing, and even just as a hard surface to write on. Colored markers and crayons in the class is a must. By the end of the year, we often lose some colors all together, its hard for them to color a tree yellow if we don't have the color yellow! Teachers pay teachers is my support system, further enrichment, and idea enhancer! I use it for everything, from booklets, readers, art or science projects, it is so easy to create further instruction beyond the curriculum with lessons made by other teachers. I would love to have some funds to use for extra curriculum resources.
