Games to help students enjoy time and be active at school, as well as at home with friends and family! Using the nets in a 4 square set up allows for more to play at the same time and the kids move quickly and the players are constantly switching their place! This is being used in badminton, tennis, volleyball, and the new pickleball! The kids love this game and our school doesn't have this set up. I am a creative teacher and I will use these games and the new equipment and nets to show kids how to play new and unique games as well as the traditional ones. With some of these games including the sack races, 3 legged races and ring the cone, parents will be inclined to play them as well with their kids while reminiscing about being a kid! With Covid and being home, we are always trying to find new things for the kids to do outside and even playing some of them inside. Being active doesn't only mean working out, or scheduled games and sports. The best thing is for the kids to learn to enjoy playing and being active. We teach along with the special needs in our school. They have already learned our routines, and laugh and have a great time, and our students are fabulous about encouraging them and including them whether it creates a possibility of losing for their team! They know what is important in life! My students always tell me they love PE because we always have fun. We really work on being the best they can be. We teach more on being team players, supporting each other and living by our charter motto and to work hard to be capable, confident, and contributing members of society.
