COVID has been difficult for students as they've had to adjust to a changing world. They've struggled with economic, social, and educational impacts. Having books to read at home can help increase and maintain their current reading level despite the pandemic and its consequences. These books will be taken home by students to read after school. Reading at home is proven to increase a students' academic ability. If students don't have books available to them this goal is impossible to reach. These books would provide my students that need it the most with something to read to increase and maintain their literacy skills.
