My students are very motivated by technology so I try to use technology as much as possible to reach my students and help them achieve academically, whether that is as a reward, supplementing learning, or to help teach new skills. My students will benefit from the iPad, headphones and ear plugs. A few of my students struggle with the fine motor skills needed to use the school-used Chromebooks. That is where the iPad comes in. It has a touch screen and it is smaller which gives me as the teacher more control if it is needed and helps students develop their fine motor skills. The headphones will be used in aiding in the technology use so the noises made on the iPad will not disturb other students. The ear plugs will help students who need silence. The ear plugs will help dampen the noises in the classroom so my students who are impacted by sudden noise or behavior changes in the classroom can stay on task. It is my hope that my students will learn to self-regulate and know when to ask for the ear plugs.
