I have found that COVID-19 has turned students into "screen learning based" students. Which is great, but I've always been a "hands on, cut and paste" kind of a teacher. Using hands on materials through STEAM investigations and projects, students can explore, create and then present a project. First grade students need more hands on learning and an opportunity to make and present a created project. There has always been an emphasis on cooperative learning. My students will use the globe, telescope and building blocks as well as other materials to explore our science standards in the science units I teach. My students will be able to create their own projects using the Cricut Maker 3 in a group and present as a class final project. They will interact with other kid and create personal relationships as well. Thank you for considering my project.
