With COVID-19 disrupting the lives of so many, learning has becoming challenging to many of the students. Students have experienced learning loss and can find themselves feeling defeated. To help encourage the students to learn despite the challenges, we need a class that functions well and engages the students in learning. This will encourage more fun and participation in class. The math manipulatives will help the students get some hands on learning in concepts that are a struggle, helping them feel more successful. Having a board to move around the room will allow me to help students on an individual level or in a small group setting. Small incentives play an important role in motivation and success of students. They give the students something tangible to work for and it motivates them to work hard each day.
