By the time students are in high school, they are usually to listening to the teacher review all of the content that has been covered to help them prepare for a big test. It is a struggle for some of the students to stay focused during a test review like this. Imagine the same review, only now, the high school students are engaged working together in groups trying to unlock the different locks to reach the reward inside the box, making it more of a treasure hunt. Students are now working together and helping each other study for a test as they work through each of the puzzles and riddles. This type of engagement will help students better prepare for the test and improve their scores. Ultimately, the donation for this project will allow my students to have a review in the form of an engaging mystery escape box review activity. Students will have to solve problems, critically think, learn to work collaboratively as a group, all while reviewing the content and eventually lead them to opening the box to earn a reward.
