When we have a student who may be experiencing anxiety come to the counseling office we have them sit in an office to calm their anxiety. I plan on creating a calming corner with mindfulness activities that will give students a chance to unwind and relax from stress and anxiety. There will be 2 chairs and a table in between the chairs filled with mindfulness activities and stress relieving activities. The chairs that I am requesting will give the students who come to the counseling office a comfortable place to relax and calm their minds.
