I want to add some diverse reading books to my classroom. I want students to see that reading is enjoyable. I also want to give them some fun seating options to have while they read. The seating options will help them want to read more in class by giving them a desk break. The books selected will hopefully allow some of my students from diverse backgrounds see themselves in books, something that some students haven’t had a lot of chances to do. I just want to make sure that students see themselves in strong and capable ways. I think making the seating fun will help.
