Our Special Education students are a very hard-working and motivated bunch of amazing students. Many students we serve are English language learners as well. We have found that the use of a variety of strategies, resources, and activities to teach and reinforce critical reading, writing, and math skills yields the best results, which is exactly what we want for our students. We are requesting high-interest leveled-readers, hands-on math manipulatives like a magnetic ten-frame set, and additional resources like sight word games and Scholastic Success with Writing to support written language development. When we can provide our students with a variety of individualized, interactive, and varied resources, they exhibit a high level of engagement and enjoyment while learning. As they build greater levels of confidence, their confidence grows and they shine. We are requesting these materials as they will help us provide new and challenging opportunities to help our students master their individualized goals.
