As a school social worker I meet with students across our school. Since the Covid Pandemic, students are experiencing more challenging emotions with fewer skills to self regulate. They often come to school carrying stressors from their family, causing distraction and lack of motivation for academics. Emotion based games and sensory activities can help students feel more at ease when talking to someone about difficult topics. Helping students stay motivated and engaged contributes to a safe and healthy school. A big part of my job is to help students stay focused and learning in the classroom. I wouldn't be able to do this without motivational items.
