The document camera enables me to provide direct instruction and guided learning. After virtual learning, a lot of students have had a hard time initiating their own learning and being independent learners. I want to give them the support they need by modeling over the document camera, then I can give them time to work independently before going over it altogether. The document camera makes it possible to work alongside them, instead of just giving verbal support. This is also a huge boost for English Language Learners, who will have visual support. After virtual learning for so long, it is more important than ever that students have adequate academic and socio-emotional support at school. The stools will allow me to work with small groups, which is an optimal opportunity for students to get differentiated instruction and interact with other students. They can contribute to academic conversations and learn from each other. It also gives me insight into their strengths and weaknesses, both academically and socially.
