To help my students develop their reading skills I am asking for a variety of classic chapter books to use in reading groups. These books will be shared with multiple third grade teachers as we read these excellent works of literature. Students will be more engaged in reading as we read the books together and ask questions in a small group setting with exciting new books. By third grade most third graders know how to read by they don't always chose the best books to develop their comprehension skills as readers. With these new books students will be practicing and developing these reading skills. This will help create many new generations of proficient and happy readers.
