Reading has always been a focus in education. Since the pandemic hit, students have had to adjust their learning in order to try to maintain academic levels. This has proven difficult and many students have struggled to catch-up to their current grade level in all areas of learning. Let's get these kids back interested in reading! I want to expand my current classroom library in order to help students find reading material that they love. I want them to develop a love for reading and let it take them on a learning adventure. I hope by adding to my small library, I can get students reading more in a comfortable and enjoyable setting. I have requested stools and lap desks so my students can have flexible seating in classroom reading groups and individual reading time. The books I have asked for are ones that my current students have specifically asked for like Dog Man, Big Nate, and Unicorn Diaries.
