Martin Luther King Jr. Early College is a great school that does not always receive the credit it's due. This school has had a sketchy past and we are still recovering from that reputation (20 years later!). However, the kids that I work with now are not that reputation and they deserve the best. A majority of our students will be the first high school graduate in their family and they work so hard to reach this goal. As the vocal music teacher at MLKJEC I strive to ensure that our students reach this goal while being exposed to the arts, trying to create a well rounded student. My students make me proud and surpass my expectations every chance they get. They deserve the world and I want to give it to them.
