This project will help my students succeed as readers, and show their creativity. The books will be added to our class library for independent reading, small group reading, and reading aloud. My hope is that the students will find a book that they enjoy reading and can relate to. This makes reading more fun and increases their ability to become book-lovers in the future. The variety of books will allow the students to find something that interests them, and keep they joy of reading alive. A love of reading is something I try to instill in each of my students. This project also includes art supplies such as watercolors, markers, modeling clay, crayons and colored pencils. Art supplies will help students showcase their creativity in a variety of ways. This will boost their confidence and allow them to create in new ways.
