Flexible seating will allow students to select seating options that will maximize their focus, attention, and learning. Seating options have proven effective in increasing focus and learning. Students would have the choice between traditional seating, wobble stools, yoga ball, &/or bands for their chairs. In light of COVID-19, any and every option should be considered and used, if possible, to help students recover from the learning toll that was taken during quarantines and masked learning. Middle school students struggle with giving undivided attention anyway but forcing them to sit in traditional desks and chairs really impairs those who have a more kinesthetic learning style.
