With my TeachersPayTeachers money, I will be purchasing poems that match our weekly phonics (sounds). We will dive deep into the poems, identifying the nouns, verbs, adjectives, prefixes, suffixes, synonyms, pronouns, rhymes, sight words, punctuation, compound words, syllables, as well as making inferences about what we think the poem is about and what clues led us to that conclusion. I love to combine skills within one task to maximize our time and knowledge. The poems will do exactly this as we will continue to master our grammar and reading. I will be able to differentiate the poems based on individual needs.
