Students need to develop an understanding of basic mechanical engineering skills. Simple machines, like pulleys and levers, are helpful for students to have hands-on experience with engineering skills. My students will have the opportunity to use the simple machines in building their own projects. The hydraulic arms will help students understand the mechanics behind the device so that they can replicate it in their own design. Mechanical engineering is a growing field, and these supplies will help engage the students in real-world applications. The wind turbines will help students visualize the laws of energy in action.
