Sometimes kids emotions get so strong they cant learn. Many of the objects I put on my list are to create a quiet corner in the classroom where kids can go to take a deep breath and calm down. Having it in the classroom both trains the kids to identify when they are starting to get upregulated, take initiative to calm down, as well as keeping them in the classroom where they can learn as much as possible. Other items were for use in my office when I work one on one with children to teach them about how to recognize and manage their feelings.
