During the covid 19, my students have been emotionally challenged. I can see that students are having a hard time keeping self-confidence. In addition, many have been at home for quarantine and were not immersed in the French language and culture. Coming back to class and speaking French again can be very stressful for students. The mirror would be used as a greeting mirror: students would have to tell them nice (French!) words daily, as a morning routine. It will promote the language and will build their self-esteem. In addition, the listening center will be a great opportunity to have a self-paced space, where they can listen to stories or music and pace their emotional brain, as continuing to be immersed in the French culture. With this center, students will develop autonomous habits of listening: in case of quarantine, they will be used to going and listening for French books and songs by themselves. Also, they will be used to listen to several French speakers.
