Adding and subtracting are a HUGE part of accounting. Most of my students use the calculator on their cell phones to add large groups of numbers. Sadly, you can't "feel" when you make a mistake on a cell phone. But you can when you use a 10-key! Learning 10-key skills is an important part of becoming an accountant. You can add/subtract faster and more accurately. My students use laptops that don't have a 10-key on the keyboard, forcing them to use their cell phones to add/subtract. These 10-keys would help them learn skills and increase accuracy. It is such an important part of accounting.
