Flexible seating gives my students a choice to pick a spot or seat that works best for them! Some students perform better on the floor or in different seating options, and giving them this choice empowers them to be comfortable, have a say, and focus on their work. My students stay on task more often when choosing where they work. Flexible seating encourages good posture creating optimal concentration for more significant learning. It also increases oxygen flow to the brain to help productivity. In addition, it helps build a collaborative community because it allows them to organize into groups more efficiently.
