My project is designed to help my students reach our standard goals in multiplication, fractions and phonics. I have also requested some needed art supplies and incentives for when a student has reached their goal. I have requested fraction tiles and math charts to correspond with our math lessons. These will be used to hang in our classroom and for our small group centers. We will use the math frame set, as well. The playdough will be used to flatten and cut pieces into specific fractions. This will increase their hands on learning. We will use the individual whiteboards to work out their math problems so I can see their work and make corrections where needed. For phonics, I use direct instructing as well as a software program. This program uses audio with distinct sounds to match the phonics. Currently, I have worn out headphones that don't allow the full sounds to come through and/or produce a scratchy sound. I need headphones that work! I've also requested hanging pockets to store the headphones so they will stay in good condition. To keep track of their papers and progress, I've asked for folders, pens, pencils and folder holders. Next, I've asked for incentive items to give a little extra encouragement for my students to reach their goals. These items include the small plush keychains, fruit snacks, small notebooks, lip balms and smelly erasers. Finally, we are in need of markers and soap. We use markers in our Art and Science projects. Soap will help us clean up and stay healthy. During Covid, small group and one-on-one attention was lost. Through these items, we can focus on small groups and individualized attention. I want to reach each student at their current level and bring them up to their personal best. Thank you!
