As we continue to slog through this COVID pandemic, it has become clearer that students need to be able to access what is taught in class--at home. By recording my lessons daily on an iPad (using various apps) I can then upload them to Canvas and give the students that were absent higher quality access to what was covered in class. It is essential that students who are quarantined at home have access to the materials covered in class; while it is possible to plan, no teacher can fully anticipate what will be covered in each class period. For this reason, an iPad could be very useful in my classroom. Overall, having such a tool is not necessary, but incredibly helpful to provide students the opportunity to see exactly what was covered in each class that they missed.
