Learning units-literature and writing I will use these books as part of complex literature unit, used for reading and writing. We will be adding articles about the time and discussing religious freedom. Students will improve overall literacy and gain exposure to a time that is important to remember from history. This is a topic near to my heart and I believe it will help students gain insight and empathy. Many students are starting to be less aware of these events in history and I find value in helping them remember while improving literacy.
