Having a good set of headphones will help students feel more comfortable with creating podcasts and videos on what they have learned. Being able to have alternative methods of showing students' proficiency is a great option for those who would rather demonstrate their knowledge of a topic through speaking instead of writing. The headphones will also help them focus on their best performances in annual assessments that test their listening and speaking skills, especially for my ELL students. They are expected to take the WIDA test every year and two of the components that they are tested on are Listening and Speaking. They are often intimidated to do the speaking part, so having headsets that work well is extremely important for them.
