I am requesting books, magnetic building tiles and a pencil sharpener. Students love a good book. It takes them away from the uncertainty of life. They can go to another place with a book. Students can see that they can control their life and emotions by managing the stress of life with a good book. I am asking for new books for my classroom. My students love it when there are new books in the class library to choose from. It is so fun to see their eyes light up when there is a story they want to read. Students benefit from hands on exploration. Their emotions can change and bring a calmness to their mood when a sensorimotor activity is at hand. I am asking for magnets and building blocks to be supplied for our classroom use. The magnets and building blocks help students to create and use their imaginations. They also help them to connect to something. This is a sensory activity specifically picked to have the students use their mind! I am also asking for a pencil sharpener. Our class sharpener broke. I have two students whose job it is to sharpen pencils. They love it. They cannot do their job.
