One of my biggest struggles as a math teacher during the pandemic is helping students work through problems while they are quarantined or during online learning. When they email me and ask how to do problem it is challenging, if not impossible, to type out an answer. Keyboards are very clunky when it comes to writing equations. The Surface Pro will allow me to hand-write solutions. I can record the process and email it to students or we can Zoom conference and have real-time instruction. The ability to hand-write solutions on a wireless tablet will drastically change my in-room instruction. I currently deliver content from the front of the room. The wireless tablet will allow me to walk around the room while delivering a lesson, observing directly the notes students are taking and to check for understanding. It's a game changer.
