This year has been especially challenging in the classroom. I have some students who chose to stay at home last year due to covid safety concerns and therefore, being in second grade, have missed 1.5 years out of 2! I find that there is not enough of me to help all the students due to the loss of learning. Having devices help give students access to individualized targeted instruction on their own level through access of district sponsored curriculum such as iReady Math and Lexia that will help bring their understanding up. Although I understand these programs cannot replace a teacher, every bit helps in pulling the students up to our target levels.
