I plan on having all of these books available for checkout or to better inform how to teach in a very diverse setting. I see many of my students reading, which is awesome, but I want to broaden their world views. One title I am excited to get in their hands is Omnivore's Dilemma. Many of my students, no matter their background struggle with understand why their diet is not exactly great. It is by no means their own fault, but I want them to read about where their food is coming from and how it impacts them. Another title I am excited for them to read is Lies My Teacher Told Me. It is not blasting teachers at all, it is pointing how easily things are passed over and not really taught.
