Having up-to-date Amazon Fire tablets will allow access to the programs an apps we need to successfully incorporate essential computer science skills into the classroom. With tablets that are up-to-date students will have access to additional programs and opportunities that will increase student knowledge. As a result, students will have multiple occasions to practice their social-emotional skills, including critical thinking and problem solving as they work together as a team. Students working collaboratively and supporting each others ideas will lead to an increase in student learning and their social-emotional development. Please help our classroom continue to develop these important skills. We are currently using out-dated second hand iPads for coding and computer science activities. Many of the programs or apps we need to access do not run correctly because of the inability to update the iPads.
