My students are very comfortable with oral communication but they tend to struggle with reading and writing. A classroom library stocked with a variety of books will provide an invaluable resource to help students make reading and writing proficiency gains (in their second or third language) while also developing their cultural proficiency. Reading engaging novels in another language will help my students make necessary progress as readers and writers in another language. Students will both read these books at school as well as have an opportunity to check them out for personal home reading.

About my class
