After the many gaps in face-to-face learning over the last two years, many of my students are facing similar gaps in their learning and in their motivation. Having a headphones lab in my classroom will allow me to work with one group while other groups listen to a short instructional video and continue to learn at their own pace. I am working to create mini-lessons that will personalize learning and fill the gaps of the individual, so students can continue to move toward the standards without getting discouraged. Differentiated learning in the classroom is sometimes hard to achieve, but with the use of headphones for short periods of time, I can move to different groups to address specific needs for part of the lesson time.
