As the STEM teacher, one of our focuses is technology. I plan to teach film making this year. One type of movies that I'd like to focus on with the students is stop motion film. Having iPad stands will help tremendously in keeping iPads steady as they take multiple pictures. Also having iPad stands that can adjust the angle to be straight on or from above, will also be helpful as they think of ways to get the best shot. The ring lights will also help them get good lighting and avoid unnecessary shadows. These materials will be very useful in helping my students be more successful with film making. Making movies allows the students to use technology to be creative and express themselves amidst all they are going through during the COVID pandemic. Being creative and finding things the students enjoy to do, is a way to help everyone mentally and emotionally. My hope is that our STEM classroom is a place that the students can express themselves through their creations, despite all that is going on the world.
