We are learning so much in reading, writing, math and science. There is always something to buy or needed to keep learning. Things like a black expo markers to write dictation on their desk. We use handphones every day and I never make it through a week without one handset that stops working. And let's not forget about the hundreds of Ticonderoga pencils we go use all year long for math, fluency and RTI. There is so much growth that happens in 2nd grade. It’s like the “growing up” grade. At the beginning of the year, they really are “just babies” then by the end, they are ready to become big third graders and you couldn’t be more proud. But we have lots of work to be done in between and with that work comes many supplies. I am always needing pencils, erasers, Expo markers and headsets to keep the students growing and learning in my classroom.
