The resources will be directly used for social-emotional. Having a place like the wellness room provides a safe place that students go when overwhelmed. Signaling to the teacher that a break is needed when sad, upset or unfocused contributes to the student regulating their needs. Once in the wellness room the student can identify their feelings and what we need to work on shift their mindset. By shifting their mindset the students are taught coping skills. Coping skills that they can learn and use throughout the day. That will continue to contribute to self-regulation.
