The materials requested in this project will be used in a variety of ways. The books included will be used to reach a wide variety of students with many different interests and reading abilities. Many of the students in my classroom struggle to pick up a chapter book, hopefully this new variety will solve that problem. The phonics and math manipulatives included allow me to improve teacher clarity so that I can show the students, not just tell them. Finally, our class is in need of new privacy folders while taking tests as the ones we have been around for a very long time, and many don't stay open. The dry erase table dots will allow me as the teacher to speed up transition times when working in small groups, as I will already have white board space ready, rather than having to wait for kids to bring white boards back with them to work on interventions.
