Using whiteboards in all core areas is a must everyday. My students engage with text, mathematics, and science through a variety of ways, but whiteboards are a favorite. Access to non fiction text (digital and print) will allow my students the opportunity to connect to the world around them. Hands on math manipulatives make learning fun, and engaging. Having enough materials to allow students to use their own, whether in class or virtual ensures each student the same opportunities to learn. Exploring real life photos and hands on manipulatives of the life cycle will give my students a better understanding of how they can relate to the world around them.
