Having an iPad would enable me to teach without being tied to the desktop. Educational programs, such as Desmos or Nearpod, could be accessed and manipulated as I circulate through the classroom and provide individual attention to those students who need extra assistance. This one-on-one attention is greatly needed to help students who have learning gaps due to COVID-19 related absences. An iPad in the classroom would be a great motivator, as students would be able to write their work on the iPad and have it projected onto a screen as an example for their peers during class discussions. Peer-to-peer learning has been greatly disrupted by COVID-19 related absences during the past two school years. Demonstrations and discussions of this nature greatly enhance student growth in mathematics understanding.
