I teach English 11 at a great high school that also struggles with family support in education. Throughout Covid, students have been asked to be on their computers for every class with little interaction/group work because of quarantine and/or remote learning. Being able to use these games will be an opportunity for them to practice their English grammar and reading/writing skills in an engaging way with their peers. Students need interaction with others and look forward to doing something that is not on the screen. By having these games as an alternative to computer lessons, I will give them a chance to be hands on while still learning valuable skills. I've worked with other teachers at our school who have students begging to learn through playing games.
