In our second grade classroom, most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. We start our day with morning meeting and our read alouds and end our day on the rug with social-emotional learning activities. My students favorite thing is to grab their book bins and a mini pillow to relax on the rug and read their books. This is my first year teaching in person and I don't have a large enough rug for my students to sit on. Having a beautiful and big enough rug would be a great addition to my classroom. It will make my classroom feel comfortable, motivated to learn, and excited to read. Help me give my students a meeting place to develop our classroom community.
