These supplies will help build interest in science by exploring basic physics concepts through experiments and demonstrations. Items included will help to demonstrate Hooke's law, Thermodynamics, Electrical Circuits, and pulley systems. We learn by doing! Many students are confused by what they see in videos in the classroom. Science should be hands-on whenever possible. By giving students the resources to explore these topics, they will gain a greater understanding of these basic physics concepts. One particular goal is to help the class understand the difference between series and parallel circuits, detect electric fields, and understand electric current. By exploring electricity basics, they can learn when it is preferable to wire a circuit in series or parallel. Hooke's law helps the students visualize wave frequency and cycle. Frequency is everywhere - even in traffic management when they meter your entrance onto a freeway. Energy, sound, and light all have wave properties.
