This drama will be studied through both synchronous and asynchronous learning: face-to-face and distance learning. Assigned role reading will be done face-to-face. Audio recording will be provided for asynchronous distance learning. Many of my students come from low socioeconomic status backgrounds. They also come from many different ethnic backgrounds. Some of my students have vocally expressed their experiences with being judged and criticized based off of the color of their skin. This book covers topics and content that many of my students have experienced in their own lives. The author is very highly acclaimed, and the students have always enjoyed this book in my class.
