Students have been using worn-out wheels for the past several years. We have a very big ceramics program and having new, functioning wheels, will make all the difference in a student's success, and what more can we give students but knowledge and a feeling of accomplishment. Working wheels can give them both. With students at all different skill levels, they need a wheel that can keep up with them. As students progress the amount of clay they use, also increases. The current wheels slow down when a lot of clay is used, and speed is important in making things on the wheel. This is why new wheels are so crucial to students continuing to improve and grow.
