This will provide opportunities for students to read on their level. It will enhance their vocabulary, accuracy and comprehension skills. Students will participate in small group discussions about the books which will further enhance their oral language skills. These new books will open a doorway to new cultures and experiences. Students will discuss with their classmates the different cultures and how they can apply the lessons learned to their own lives. Students will more likely to be engaged when relating the experiences of the characters to their own lives. They will become deeper thinkers and look at the world through new lenses.
