These materials will be used to complement my Orton Gillingham reading program. This program emphasizes phonics education. Mastery of phonics skills has been shown to provide struggling readers with a pathway to reading success. My students have shown excellent growth in reading since I began using phonics-based instruction through the Orton Gillingham method. The levelled readers I am requesting are designed to support phonics education. These specific readers can be aligned with the phonics lessons I am teaching. They will be a valuable addition to my instruction for students with learning challenges.
