For many of my students, this is their first year in a classroom. I want to be able to supply my students with the learning materials they deserve. The books will help to grow our classroom library, the STEM toys will help improve cognitive thinking skills through play, and the math materials will help to enhance student learning. Many of my items are intended to provide my students with opportunities to learn how to play and socialize with each other, such as the hand puppets! Our classrooms biggest struggle this year has been developing healthy social relationships with classmates, teachers, and school staff. One thing I am very excited about is the Push Pops. These will help engage my students when working with CVC words and phoneme segmentation and blending. By funding this project, I will be able to create an environment in which my students can play, learn, and interact in safe ways.
